The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the graduates of the Leadership Columbia County Executive Forum Class of 2016! The Leadership Columbia County Executive Forum Program started on Thursday, March 3rd with a welcome and leadership skills workshop at the Columbia County Chamber Chairman’s Room and then proceeded to explore the County County Courthouse, Judicial Center and county operations. The first day concluded with panel discussions with judges, attorneys, and elected officials. On Friday, their day began at Grovetown High School with tours of the CTAE labs. Next, they toured J. Strom Thurmond Dam, the Old Kiokee Baptist Church, and the historical Appling Courthouse. Columbia County historian and author Barbara Seaborn shared her book with the group.
The Saturday program included a panel discussion on “Fort Gordon’s Growth and the Future of Cyber.” They also participated in a economic development and SRSCRO workforce study bus tour. The day concluded with a graduation ceremony.
The program was chaired by Ms. Pat Goodwin, Marvin UMC and vice chair Ms. Yvonne Meeks with SRP Federal Credit Union. SRP Federal Credit Union is the title sponsor of Leadership Columbia County.
